Challenge Layouts!

Ok, peeps, I've said it before, and I'll probably say it again - I love challenges!! Here are a couple of the latest layouts I've made for challenges! This one was for the Build-A-Kit Challenge at Digital Scrapbook Mania! If you rack up 20 points, you get a five dollar coupon for the store at DSM!!! How great is that... you can never have too much FREE scrapbook stuff! =)

And here is a layout I created for the Party Tray Challenge at Digiscrapaganza... This was a really fun challenge!  You have to follow the "recipe" to create a layout... and I love how this one turned out!

A couple more of my favorite sites for challenges are here:

So go right out and check out the challenges out there.... and you might be surprised what you come up with! I would love to hear about your favorite challenges, and see your entries!

Hi everyone! Here I am again after a terrible computer week... My computer decided to quit working correctly and would only start in Safe Mode! AHHH! And I hadn't backed up my pictures and stuff since June so I was going to lose a LOT of pictures if I wasn't able to get it working. I seriously was about to have an anxiety attack!  But I was able to restore it back to a couple of days ago and it was ok and I have since backed it up!!! Just a little reminder to back up your computer often! So to celebrate the fact that my computer didn't die, I am going to give everyone a fall word art freebie! I used this word art on a calendar that I am making for my family, but it would work on lots of different fall layouts! It coordinated perfectly with Jen's Apple of My Eye Kit!

Here is my layout using Apple of My Eye from Jen C Designs and the word art by yours truly!

Calendar Templates from Jen C Designs

It is always a goal of mine at Christmas-time to give a gift from the heart that the recipient will have a connection to. So many times I make items for my family at Christmas. This year I have been thinking about making a scrapbook calendar for each family member to enjoy pictures of my kids and family gatherings, etc, all year long. Well, if you have been looking for a product to help you make great calendars for your families this year, you are in luck. Today, Jen released a great kit that will help you make a wonderful calendar with minimum effort! You can get it now for only $5.00! This is a great price, because this kit is worth $18, and the look on your family's face will be priceless when they receive such a great gift!!

My first kit Freebie!

Ok peeps, I absolutely love scrapbook challenges! My favorite challenges are at DigiScrapbookMania and Digi Scrap Drive In! Be sure and check them out! For each challenge, you get points and when you rack up enough points you get free products! So cool, especially for those of us around here who are frugal <read miserly>. =)

Anyway, I participated in a new challenge this week at DigiScrapsDriveIn called Go for the Pinks... and Blues hosted by Jen C Designs (one of my favorite designers, who I am proud to create for!) The rules for this challenge is that you have to create a layout or mini kit using the given color palette. So I decided to be brave this month and jumped in feet first and designed a kit! I got so caught up in the fun that I ended up with a not-so-mini kit with 18 papers and around 20 elements!!!! So here it is:

Remember this is my first attempt at designing so please be kind! LOL! Comments are appreciated!
